Dr. Ray Wagner M.D. is Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and holds medical licenses in both Texas and Arizona. He currently is a practicing pediatrician at a community health center in Tucson, Arizona. In the recent past he has served as an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Texas Medical School in Houston, and prior to that was on the faculty of the Texas Tech Health Sciences Center in El Paso. Prior to his academic career, he was in private practice.
Dr. Wagner’s honors and awards include the 1998-2003 Dean’s Award for Excellence in Teaching and the 1998 Best New Pediatric Faculty at the University of Texas Medical School in Houston. He was selected as the Best Medical Student in Pediatrics by the West Texas Children’s Foundation in 1982, as a Mead Johnson Clinical Scholar in 1989, and received a Faculty Development Fellowship from Michigan State University in 1997. He holds a B.A. from Vanderbilt University, a M.S. from Rice University, and received his M.D. from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. He has been a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics since 1988.
